Food And Drink Christmas Gift Ideas
1st November today! Christmas is definitely on its way. With that in mind, and the celebration of a new month in our heads, today I am turning my thoughts towards food and drink, and to be honest, more towards drink than food (as usually happens…ahem).
This is my first guide for those who generally love to get into the Christmas spirit, with the emphasis being firmly on spirit.
Celia Lager
If you have a member of your family, or a friend who considers themselves to be a Lager connoisseur, then they may well appreciate being introduced to a new brand.

Popaball Shimmer for Prosecco
Transform your prosecco into unicorn prosecco and make it sparkle and taste amazing!
Popaball is an amazing way to add flavour and shimmer to your Prosecco. It is a lovely gift idea for Prosecco queens who are looking for a way to pimp up their favourite drink, especially during party season.
Popaball comes in a range of flavours and shimmers. My personal favourite is a Raspberry flavoured, rose gold shimmer powder with edible gold leaf hearts, it makes your drink look so, so pretty and is sure to be a talking point at all your Christmas parties. It can also be used in gin, vodka and anything else fizzy!

Sparkling Wine Jelly Belly Jelly Beans
Another perfect stocking filler, and also one that is great for someone who is unable to drink this year (a pregnant lady maybe), the Jelly BellySP Sparkling Wine Jelly Beans come in the cutest Champagne style bottle and are pale gold in colour and have a jewel-like finish which mimics the appearance of a freshly poured glass of sparkling wine as the foam begins to settle.
The Sparkling Wine ‘Bubbly’ Bottle 42g is priced at £3.00 and you can find it here.
MiniVino
Yet another stocking filler idea, and yes, this one also has an alcoholic slant, MiniVino is something that a wine lover will really appreciate. MiniVino is a single glass of wine, available as a Chardonnay, Merlot or Rose variety, that comes in its very own glass, sealed to make it perfect to pop into your bag when you are taking your own drink (perfect for picnics).
The glass is resealable, reusable and recyclable, and the wine is from an award winning Italian vineyard and tastes absolutely delicious.
Available in Sainsburys for £2, Ocado for £2.35 or on Amazon as a 12 pack for £27.
The Grand Brahis AOP Vallee des Baux de Provence extra virgin olive oil duo
As any foodie worth their salt will tell you, good quality olive oil can make all the difference, whether you are using it in cooking, to dress a salad, or just to dip warm bread into. Sous Chef have a wonderful olive oil duo as part of their Christmas offering which is perfect for those who love to cook, or those who just love to eat well.
The duo comes beautifully boxed in vintage style packaging. Inside the box you will find two olive oils from Grand Brahis – one each of vert and noir. The vert has an intense flavour of fresh olives, with notes of almond, butter and artichoke with a slight peppery finish. The noir is richer and more rounded, with notes of tapenade and leavened bread and an exceptionally soft mouthfeel. Both are rich and delicious.
For those who are interested in where their food has come from, I’m pleased to say that both oils, which are made in the South of France, are organic.
