Get the Duchess of Cambridge’s latest look at Boden
The Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted looking very slim and elegant, shopping on the Island of Anglesey. And whilst the press have been focusing on the lack of any remaining baby bump, I must admit to being far more interested in Kate’s outfit, which I think is a great transitional fashion look, perfect for shopping trips and the school run.
Kate’s outfit is a masterclass in classic separates. A Ralph Lauren Breton top, teamed with a pair of black skinny jeans. Add the neutral shoes from Sebago and Kate looks smart yet casual. Many people look at Breton tops as a great spring trend, but they are equally good for those late Summer/early Autumn days when there is a distinct chill in the air. Teaming a Breton top with darker jeans also makes the outfit more Autumnal – leave the white denim and wide leg trousers for Spring looks.

You can get the Duchess Kate off-duty look with some key pieces from Boden.
The Hamptons Tee has become a Boden classic in recent years, and I particularly love the scoop neck detail, which is perfect for those with a larger bust.
The Skinny Urban trousers are super sleek, and would be a great alternative to those who are a little fed up of skinny jeans. These have a sexy, early 1960s styling to them (I’m thinking Elizabeth Taylor zipping around Rome on the back of a Vespa.). Also, these are pigment dyed to fade, so they will only look better the more you wear them.
Kate’s deck shoes are a summer staple, but to pull this outfit into your Autumn wardrobe, I would swap the Sebago’s for a Tasseled Loafer in dark tan. These are still a great comfy shoe for everyday wear, but also look extremely smart – you could easily imagine them worn with trousers and a blazer for a great workwear look.

Kate has got such great style. Stripe tops are a classic staple item for the wardrobe, they never go out of fashion are great for ladies who are a pear shape or hate their bottom half.
