Gifts through the post are sorted with Postboxed
We’ve all had a problem when we try to send a gift through the post. We choose the gift carefully, make sure we send it with plenty of time to get there, and also send it recorded so that it arrives safely. And then it happens, the recipient happens to be out on the day the postman arrives, and the gift ends up sitting in on a post office shelf, waiting to be collected. Somehow, that special occasion comes and goes without your gift being there to enjoy. Annoying isn’t it?
But fear not, there is now a wonderful solution that means that you can choose a gift and it will arrive on time, and be posted, even if your loved one is not home. Postboxed offers a service where they choose a specially curated range of gifts that will fit through the letterbox, even when they are gift wrapped. The gifts have been chosen from premium brands and sources, and they have choices that will suit both men, women and children.
The service is really easy to use. First you select your Letterbox Friendly Gift, you can then add a gift-note and delivery date on the shopping cart page. You fill in your recipients’s address and the gift is then sent First Class with the Royal Mail within one business day unless a later date has been requested.
I tried the service choosing a gift for my hubby Pete. I’m a huge fan of Alphabet Bags, loving the wit and humour of the brand, and I knew Pete would appreciate their man’s washbag, but wasn’t sure how this would fit into a box that would slip through the letterbox.

The gift arrived very quickly, within a day of being sent. I loved the Postboxed vintage style stamp on the box, it makes the present look very retro and cool.
Inside the box, the gift is beautifully gift wrapped in tissue paper. Being slightly bigger than the box, the bag had been carefully folded, but was easily reshaped once items were added to it.
With Mother’s Day and Easter both coming up in March, Postboxed is a great way to show a loved one you love them with a very special gift. With gifts from brands such as Azuni London (a Kate Middleton fave), Moleskine, Sloane Stationary and Ted Baker, you will be able to find the perfect gift for even those who are difficult to please. And it will be delivered on time too!

This is a really clever idea! I always want to send gifts I buy online directly to the recipient but worry about whether they will be around to sign for it!
