London Fashion Week – The best of the Front Row
London Fashion Week is currently in full swing, and, once again, I’m a bit obsessed with what the ladies are wearing in the front row, as much as I love looking at the collections on the catwalk.
All the usual suspects are there, from Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung, Millie Mackintosh and Cheryl…not actually sure what she’s called at the moment…were all looking suitably glamorous and stylish on the front rows, in a wide range of looks. Fashion Week brings real diversity in the styles you see on the front row, ranging from looks that are almost red carpet ready – think Millie Mackintosh, to casual jeans like those sported by Olivia and Alexa, who is surely the queen of dressing down in a way that is effortless, gorgeous and makes every other woman in the room look totally over-dressed.
So, who’s style have I been coverting this London Fashion week? My style crush Harley Viera Newton once again totally kills it, with a whole series of elegant, ladylike looks. I love the prim print she chose for the Burberry show which is covered up and looks just stunning. Another look I love is Suki Waterhouse chanelling the 1940s in pale pink floral. I also think Suki has the look of a 60s dolly bird so this is a beautiful departure for her and I adore it.
As someone who would literally live in dresses 24/7, there have been some rich pickings on display so far. I love the unusual printed dress worn by Bond Actress Naomi Harris, which, with its long sleeves, is just a great transitional piece. Another wow was Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts who chose a green shift style that contrasted beautifully with her hair and pale skin.
I have featured some of my favourite looks so far below. Whose style has caught your eye so far?
