My parents celebrate a very special milestone at the end of the year, celebrating 40years of marriage. To celebrate this very special occasion, we’ve been looking for something special to do as a family, and one of the most popular ideas has been to do a cruise. All the brochures showing cruises 2014 are already in the travel agents, and the Med is looking a likely destination. 2014 could be a very exciting time.

Cruising is one of my favourite ways to holiday, the photographs above were taken when I last cruised the Med in 2009. I guess one of the main reasons for me loving the lure of the cruise ship is that you get the opportunity to really dress up every single night, something that us non-celebs never really experience. Cruising is one of those pastimes that requires a new, knockout wardrobe, a real excuse for a splurge, and, as it is a holiday that can really be enjoyed all year around, now really is a great time if you want to treat yourself to a cruise wardrobe.

Debenhams is currently offering a very special bank holiday bonanza, offering 20% off its Debut range. This particular collection is full of what I would call proper evening dresses, the sort perfect for cruises, weddings and proms.
