Hatton Country World Enchanted Christmas
Christmas arrived at Hatton Country World this weekend with the launch of Enchanted Christms. The farm yard setting was suddenly invaded with tinsel and sparkle as Santa set up his grotto and very special workshop/toyshop in the Warwickshire countryside. With the shopping village also feeling very seasonal with a Christmas market and twinkling lights, it is certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Hatton.
Hatton enchanted Christmas is a glorious mixture of family shows, Christmas crafts and shopping, and a really lovely Grotto experience where those on the good list receive a special key to Santa’s toyshop. Children can then choose their own present from a good range of toys and games.
In addition to the Santa experience, it makes the most of its outdoor setting with lots for children to do in the fresh air, with fairground style rides for the little ones, trampolines and outdoor play areas with trip wires, giant trackers and diggers and a football zone.
There are also the animals of course. One of the big attractions of Hatton Country World is the hands on experience that children can enjoy with the animals. From the friendly goats and donkeys, to the guinea pig village where children can hold and feed the animals, Hatton is about getting children as close as possible to the animals, but with clear instructions in how to hold and feed. Also, at this time of the year there are the added attractions of real reindeers, adding a real touch of Christmas magic to the proceedings.
The Zoobee shows that included puppets and magic were great fun. Held inside the theatre, these are a great way to get a bit of respite from the cold whilst totally keeping your little ones entertained. A range of shows run throughout the day, and the humour is enough to keep both the adults and the children entertained. (Claude the French cat was a personal favourite.)
The great thing about Hatton Country World is that although it very much has the great outdoors at its heart, it also has enough to do inside if the weather gets too cold or wet. The large restaurant also has an indoor play area where you can easily while away a hour or two, whilst the range of Christmas crafts and the letter writing area to Santa are also a lovely escape from the cold.
Hatton’s Enchanted Christmas experience is now open every weekend and the whole of the week beginning 19th December – right up until Christmas Eve. For more information, ticket prices and online bookings, click here.
