January Outfit Post Pt 1
I have to say that I am so glad that January is over. I’ve never been a fan of the month, it is such an anti-climax after the fun and sparkle of Christmas, and this month it has been made worse by very cold weather and a house full of regular bouts of illness. That said, in terms of fashion, it hasn’t been all that bad.
January has the last of the sales. This is a time when the shops are filled with lots of rubbish, but you can also get diamonds amongst the rough. A case in point is my animal print River Island skirt. I’d been trying to find this for ages, and then spotted one in my size on a sale rail in the Bullring for £15. Then there was the James Lakeland jumper in TK Maxx – £2 anyone. You do have to rummage more in the sales, but the bargains are there to be found and the savings are massive.
I’ve split this post into two separate posts with the second coming next week. You may notice that certain things are appearing a lot, I genuinely believe that my Dorothy Perkins denim skirt will be literally falling apart before I stop wearing it, and I am frantically looking for something similar for this year. The same goes for my boots, it has been so cold I’ve hardly been out of boots all month. Hopefully I’ll wear more shoes in February.
As ever, this post is a mixture of new buys, charity shop finds and vintage pieces, and where possible, I’ve put a link to the item or something very similar.
What were you wearing in January?

Some amazing outfits! I didn’t get lucky with January sales. I need to rummage around the charity shops more often x

You have picked up some bargains. But I totally agree, you need to invest the time in hunting them down. I love that Vila pleated skirt. Stylish and classy. Tx

The leopard dress rocks on you – mind you, you seem to pull off all these looks. Wish I had great taste/style…you never know, February might also bring some bargains!
