Kate recycles the Erdum Dress on her anniversary
It seems inevitable, given the amount of weddings those Middleton sisters seem to attend, that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would spend their first wedding anniversary anywhere other than a wedding. And Kate being Kate, attending a wedding means recycling another dress.
We are so used to recycling her outfits now that not only are we no longer surprised, but High street stores and online companies are starting to follow her lead. The dress in question on this occasion was the Erdum navy lace shift dress that was such a success in Canada last July. And, as copies of this style are still available widely, it seems that Kate’s look is clearly helping to set a fashion agenda.
Kate updated her look by adding a 1940s style pillbox hat, and the Alexander McQueen belted she wore on Thursday. She also used her Anya Hindmarch clutch bag again – a useful piece in the wardrobe of a woman who loves to wear blue.
The lace shift dress is swiftly becoming a classic wardrobe piece. Versions can be found in most High Street collections, in a range of colours.
