Kim Sears weds Andy Murray

It may be only April, but it seems as if we’ve already witnessed the wedding of the year. Yesterday Wimbledon Champ Andy Murray wed the gorgeous Kim Sears in Dunblane, and it proved to be the sort of warm and wonderful wedding that warms the heart, even though the weather wasn’t all that kind to the happy couple.

The stylish Kim has proved to be a bit of a fashion favourite in recent years, with both tennis fans and fashion fans noticing her chic, and always elegant choices that,like another famous tennis fan, Kate Middleton, manage to successfully mix designer pieces with high street favourites. So, on this most special of days, all eyes were focused on Kim, and her choice of dress.

I think she made a stunning choice, and made a totally radiant bride. The designer of choice was British icon Jenny Packham, and the dress was an unusual mix of classic and modern style, with a striking white and silver colour combination. The front bodice detail was Grecian in style, with a low pleated drape design that was a classic choice. The design was lifted with the exquisite use of silver on the waistband, this had a cumberband effect, with the same embroidery also used on the sleeves. The whole effect was so pretty, with Kim letting the dress do all the talking and leaving her neckline bare.

With Andy in full Scottish regalia and mom Judy looking beautiful too, this was a gorgeous stylish wedding which will certainly be added to my list of favourite celebrity weddings.
