In the past year we have already seen two stylish Royal weddings, and today there was a third, when the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Lady Gabriella Windsor married Thomas Kingston at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
Lady Gabriella is a lesser known royal, but is known for her elegant style, and her beautiful dress by Luisa Beccaria was simply perfect. In white lace, with long sleeves and a train style, she wore it with a six metre veil. It was a dress that was modern in its simplicity, but also had a vintage style recalling the dress worn of Princess Grace of Monaco on her wedding day, and also echoes of both Meghan and Kate’s more recent looks.
Duchesses Kate and Meghan did not attend the wedding, but Prince Harry did, walking with the wife of Lord Freddie Windsor, Sophie Winkleman, whose outfit I absolutely loved, a coatdress edged with glorious marabou feathers. The other standout best dressed guest was Pippa Middleton, who wore a truly lovely Kate Spade blue dress and headband with puffed sleeves and button detailing. Her always impeccable mother Carole also looked chic and elegant in a gorgeous statement hat. Both The Queen and Prince Phillip were also in attendance (the Queen is a cousin to Prince Michael of Kent.)
All in all, this was a low key but rather lovely wedding with lots of style for Royal and fashion watchers to enjoy.
