Reviewed: Bohemian Ruffled Lace Dresses From Oeyes

I love finding new places to buy affordable fashion that offers something a little different from the UK High Street. Oeyes certainly fits that bill. An online fashion boutique that delivers worldwide, Oeyes has a massive range of clothes that also addresses the plus size market and is totally affordable.

The dress below is a case in point. This is the bohemian ruffled lace dress , a dream of a Summer dress, with boho, midi length style and a gorgeous floral print that has a definite 1960s vibe. The dress comes in sizes that range from small to 2xl, and has elastication around the neckline and waistband that makes it comfortable to wear and gives that little bit of wiggle room too.

This is a true boho dress, really hippie in style and print, and I love the lace tiering effect that is so pretty. This is a one sleeved dress, with the sleeve being a feature due to the length and frill style detail, and the neckline also has a frill detail. Think Bill Gibbs and Thea Porter designs from the 1970s and you get the general drift. This dress calls to mind Kate Moss, early Sienna Miller, and the Queens of Boho, Stevie Nicks and Talitha Getty.

I am 5ft 7 and wear a size 16, and was wearing XL in this dress, but could’ve probably sized down to the L as there is a lot of material in the dress and due to the elasticated waist. The dress is calf length, which means you are able to wear this was flat sandals like I did, although I do think a wedge would look great too.

One thing I do have to mention is that the side split is very high. I chose to wear this with a slip underneath, but this dress would also be a stunning beach to bar dress in which case you wouldn’t need to wear anything underneath, you could just throw it over your bikini. As it doesn’t need ironing, this makes it pretty perfect for holiday season, and as it is thin and floaty, it is a lovely, cool holiday frock.
