Reviewed: Dr Anders Professional Footcare

Our feet can sometimes be a neglected part of our body when it comes to pampering and care. We wear all sorts of contraptions on them, from shoes with stupidly high heels, flip flops that offer no protection or support, and boots and trainers that make them sweat and swell. Clearly our tootsies are sometimes in need of some special care, and the range from Dr Anders, a podiatrist by trade, offers you something a little different from regular footcare brands.

Dr Anders has used her experience as a podiatrist to create a brand that she describes as ‘Caring • Professional • Ethical’. There are three products in the range, the hero product that is the Intensive rescue balm, the daily savour that is the nourishing daily therapy, and the conditioning nail treatment. Each product is free from harmful toxic chemicals and is suitable for all skin types and also for people with diabetes.

Intensive Rescue Balm

The first thing you notice about this product is the scent, a gently perfumed smell that is far away from the usual minty foot creams. This is a cream to use if your feet are really in need of treatment, maybe due to rough or hard skin, or dryness. I used this when I suffered from cracked skin on my heels. You apply twice a day whilst the skin is suffering, and then afterwards you can use this when you want.

The cream is thick and nourishing, but it does sink into the skin really quickly and easily. It is also non greasy. I applied it day and night for around a week and noticed the difference almost immediately. I now use it a couple of times a week at bedtime to keep my feet in good condition.

Nourishing Daily Therapy

This lightweight oil spray is a brilliant product that you can keep in your handbag and apply throughout the day if you get tired feet, or those prone to swelling. Being a spray, it is easy to apply and you only need a light layer over the foot, paying attention of areas of dryness or redness, once you spray, you just rub it in. You don’t need to do anything else.

I keep this spray in my bag so I can apply it whenever my feet are tired and sore and I find that it genuinely helps in making them feel cooler and more comfortable.
