Reviewed – F&F Duster Jacket

One of the most versatile pieces you can add to your wardrobe now Spring is here (ahem – yes it is snowing outside the window as I write this – but it’s March, and that means Spring to me.) is a duster jacket. Lightweight, but so elegant and stylish, a duster jacket is a great with jeans and flat shoes for a casual look,  but can also be worn, 1960s style, over a shift dress for a more dressy, or evening look.

One of the best value duster jackets around at the moment is the F&F version that comes in a very pretty and springlike dusky pink shade. With mid sleeves, two deep pockets, and a soft, unstructured shape, this is a very easy piece to wear and add into your current wardrobe. F&F very kindly sent me this jacket, and I have been having a lot of fun wearing it for different occasions – a sports event, for Sunday lunch, and for an afternoon at the park. I think these three, different events, both indoor and outdoor, show that the jacket is a multi-use piece that could be worn for many different occasions, and would always work.

Look 1 – Sporting occasion

Worn with a fluffy jumper, skinny jeans and flat ballerina pumps for the Sainsbury’s Indoor Grand Prix. Love the baby shade of pink teamed with soft, off white and denim.

Look 2 – Off to the park

Two different, but similar looks for the park. As you can see, I really like cream or off white with this shade of pink, it is a pretty contrast. In the bottom look I changed the jeans for bootcut, and the flats for brogues. I also added a great statement necklace from Primark with yet another shade of pink added to the mix.

Look 3 – Sunday Lunch

I love the combination of pink and navy, so this look, for Sunday lunch, combined a 1960s style navy shift dress from M&S, with Mary Janes from Clarks. I think this is a slightly retro look, and that the jacket works well and shows it to be something other than a casual piece.

What are your thoughts on duster jackets – do you plan to add one to your wardrobe this season?

*With thanks to F&F and Maverick Pr for the fabulous jacket. As you can see, I love it and will be wearing it all Spring/Summer.
