Reviewed Scarlett & Jo Green Crochet Collar Shift Dress

I am a huge fan of Scarlett & Jo. Since the brand launched in Evans stores I think they have produced a consistently gorgeous range of dresses and tunics that offer glamour and elegance. Some of the dresses in the collection have been slightly overlooked in light of the amazing Powerfit dresses (you can view the whole Powerfit range here), but Scarlett &Jo is about so much more than the Powerfit frock.

The green crochet collar shift dress is a case in point. A stunning, dark green, 1960s style dress, with loose silhouette and a cute crochet Peter Pan style collar, this dress is simply gorgeous. Coming in green, red, blue and purple colourways, I was sent the green version as a special blog birthday present and fell in love with it immediately – the colour is just so pretty.

This is a dress of small details that make it perfect. The sleeves are gorgeous, in sheer chiffon, with slight elasticated to give them this seasons volume. The dress is a simple shift shape, but does have a tie belt around the back to create shape. The crochet collar is eye catching and very pretty and means you really don’t need to be wearing a necklace with this.  I accessorised my look with black heels and a bag, but would love to see this teamed with red too. (thinking perfect for Christmas maybe?) This is the perfect evening dress to take you from Summer nights to Autumn, just add tights to move the look to cooler nights.

I gave this dress a test drive in the best way possible, I wore this dress to attend Selfridges 10th Birthday party in Birmingham. This dress past with flying colours. It received lots of compliments, particularly for the colour. It was comfortable to wear, to move in and to dance in, and it still looked good by the end of the evening.

I love this dress so much, I’m thinking of getting it in the red colourway too.
