With the sun finally about to come out and the summer once again promising some record temperatures, it’s definitely time to ditch your winter wardrobe and start embracing some summer style. Of course, with any chance in season comes the questions of the latest fashions to go with it. Well, to save you trawling the internet trying to find out what the latest styles are, here are a list of just a few of hottest summer styles that will leave you looking seriously hot!

Festival Fashion

Summer 2023 is a Glastonbury year, so this means you need to once again, embrace that boho styling. Think slogan tees, army camo chic, cowboy boots and the shortest shorts. As it’s Britain, you may well need to add a not so glamorous rain mac too, but, as Kate Moss, and last week’s Coronation has always showed, nothing really beats us Brits when it comes to having a good time, least of all a downpour.

I’m obsessed with the gold tassel detailed handbag below from Ego which, to me, is a Summer Festival summed up in one glorious bag. It’s just so decadent! Add a slogan tee, cut off denim shorts and cowboy boots for your perfect festival outfits.

Seaside Chic

Who doesn’t love to beside the seaside? For a lot of people, there’s nothing like a day at the beach so why not bring that feeling home by embracing a coastal style. With bright colours and high contrast stripes, there’s nothing quite like that vintage look to bring a sense of seaside chic to your wardrobe. That way you can take the beach with you wherever you go while making a seriously bold statement! Pair this look with a classic pair of white heels, either in the form of 40’s style platforms, or strappy, sexy wedge sandals, for a seriously hot look that will work far from the seafront.

Sundress sensations!

Would it even really be summer without the return of sundresses? This is one of those looks that really will never go out of style. Anyone can buy sundresses and create a look that will not only embrace the feeling of the summer but keep them cool and comfy no matter how hot it gets. Not only that but there are so many different styles that you can probably find something to suit just about any tastes. Whether you want something long, short, vibrant, simple, modern, or traditional, there’s a stylish sundress out there for just about everyone.

Yellow, is it me you’re looking for?

Every season comes with its own colour palette, but summer 2023 is taking things back to basic with some wonderful shades of yellow. Now, this isn’t the muted mustard yellow that you might have enjoyed during the autumn and winter months; we’re talking seriously bright colours. The kinds of yellows that almost feel like you’re challenging the sun to shine as brightly as you! There’s nothing quite like being able to really stand out and show your true colours. Don’t be afraid to be bold and really show off this summer.

Get shirty

Take everything you think you know about shirts and throw it away because they are being reinvented for summer 2023. Rather than the stiff formalism of the past, designers are using that style to create big, loose shirt dresses that mix clean lines with a loose sense of fun that is absolutely perfect for getting out on the town on a warm summer’s night. Go with traditional white, and you’ll be able to shift seamlessly from work wear to evening wear without breaking a sweat!

So there you have it, some of the styles that you can try out this summer that will help you beat the heat while looking as cool as possible. Of course, you always have the chance to mix and match things and figure out how you really want your personal style to look and feel. After all, what is the summer for if not having some fun and expressing yourself?
