The Gatsby Girl premiere and shop the trend at Lipsy

The Great Gatsby is turning out to be the most influential fashion event of 2013. The premiere at the Cannes film festival on Friday was a super stylish event which saw the attendees pulling out all the stops in the style stakes. To put it quite simply, the abundance of beautiful looks on the big screen meant that it was simply unthinkable not to make the same amount of effort off-screen. Most fashion critics even commented on how glamorous the normally low-key star, Carey Mulligan looked on the red carpet, with sleek long hair and a slash of red lipstick. Great Gatsby Premiere stars Lipsy has some great Gatsby inspired…

Ted Baker’s latest collection – My Favourite piece

I’ve fallen in love with a dress, a dream of a dress that has a divine, mystical feel to it. The sort of dress that Mila Kunis or Carey Mulligan would look just amazing in, standing out on the red carpet full of cookie cutter pretty dresses. This dress is the perfect, standout Christmas party piece – it would stand out in a room fall of sequins with the sheer beauty of the design and the originality of the print. Next Key trends – it’s all about Gatsby

I love to blog about the sort of clothes that I personally love to wear, especially those from one of my most visited High Street stores. I decided to take up the challenge to show Fashion-Mommy readers what I would choose as the five key pieces for A/W 2012 from the current Next collection. My picks were influenced by the most eagerly awaited film of the season – the Carey Mulligan/Leonardo Di Caprio vehicle ‘The Great Gatsby’. The latest Great Gatsby movie is released on Boxing day…

The Met Gala – My best dressed

It is probably the most glamorous fashion event of the year, and this year again proved that when the world’s of Hollywood, fashion and modelling combine, you are sure of some totally standout looks, along with a couple you’d rather forget. This year’s theme was Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations, which ensured there would be a sea of Prada on display, along with a wonderful tribute to Schiaparelli’s famous Lobster print dress worn by Anna Wintour. There were plenty of other gowns to tantalise the fashion taste buds. These are my favourites from a wonderfully glamorous night. Carey Mulligan looked like a wonderfully space aged Judy Jetson in this stunning…

January Star style, featuring Madonna, Pippa, Angelina and a whole lot more.

The January blues that make the majority of us want to hibernate until at least April don’t worry the most stylish stars. For them, January signifies the start of awards season, which of course means dresses, dresses, dresses. (Unless you’re Tilda Swinton when it means trousers!).  So here are some of my favourites from Palm Springs, Critics Choice and the National Board of review awards, just to  get you in the mood for Sunday’s Golden Globes. And just to prove that sensational dressing is not confined to awards ceremonies, we have the best dresses from the W.E premiere…and Pippa rocking amazing Markus Lupfer. Spoiling you?…Of course, but you are so…
