Flowers for all Occasions.
It used to be a fact that artificial and silk flowers weren’t really very nice. They looked cheap, tacky and frankly couldn’t hold a torch to the real thing. But today this is no longer the case. Artificial flowers, used in floral displays in vases and larger planters, take pride of place in many homes, and are also used in displays at many wedding receptions and formal occasions, and one of the best places to find incredibly pretty examples is Michael Dark, a wonderful destination for anything (and I do mean anything) floral related. Michael Dark Ltd has over 25 years of experience when it comes to flowers. Dealing with…

Outfit posts – Christmas and New Year Review
One of my favourite things about the Christmas and New Year Period is the opportunity to get dressed up . I am a magpie at the best of times, loving sparkly, pretty things, and Christmas is the perfect opportunity to either buy something glittery and new, or to delve deep into the wardrobe in search of those things that we only seem to wear when the Christmas tree is up and the man in red is on his way. Merry Christmas from Fashion-Mommy
I’m signing off now to enjoy a wonderful family Christmas. It really starts tonight when we make a trip to Birmingham’s Electric Cinema to watch Home Alone, and is then family all the way, making memories with every passing hour. So it feels fitting to take this opportunity to wish all the fashion-mommy readers and friends a very merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings everything you wished for, and that your days will be merry and bright (yes, plagiarizing Bing Crosby there.) May the coming year be a good one, and I look forward to sharing new stories and memories with you in 2015 – a year which will mark…

Chrissie Hynde – Queen of Christmas
Whilst you’ve been enjoying all those fabulous, festive classics, have you noticed just how male dominated the Christmas hits we play every single year are? From the Black Country glam rock of Slade and Wizzard, to the cosy jumpers of Shakin Stevens, the homeliness of Bin,g to more glam rock from The Darkness, Christmas chart hits have a definite male slant. And we haven’t even begun to mention The Beach Boys, Cliff Richard, David Essex, Greg Lake, Johnny Mathis, and now Michael Buble, all who have become synonymous with their Christmas hits. But there are a couple of ladies who at least try to set the balance straight. We have…

Febreze – The Sweet Smell of Christmas
Christmas – it’s a feast of smells isn’t it. The gorgeous scents of cinnamon and mulled wine, of chestnuts roasting on an open fire, the mouthwatering aroma of a turkey roasting slowly in the oven. The most wonderful time of the year is also the most fragrant. Yeah right, who exactly am I trying to kid? All the fragrances above are wonderful, but they are not the only smells associated with Christmas. The smell of cooking can become something you wish to escape from once you’ve had your fill of food. The aroma of sprouts is never good in my view, and once the whole family has feasted on them,…
