William and Kate welcome baby George to the World
After all the speculation and tantalising slips of the tongue indicating that Baby Cambridge was going to be a girl, Kate and William have now welcomed a beautiful little Prince by the name of George Alexander Louis to the world. And it seems the world is already besotted with the gorgeous little bundle. Kate looked amazing, choosing to wear a cornflower blue and white dotted crepe de chine dress by Jenny Packham. This was a great stylish choice, the empire line showing that Kate had no intention of hiding her remaining baby bump, and the colour obviously echoing William’s blue jeans and shirt. The trusty Pied A Terre wedges made…

Duchess Kate drives us dotty with Dalmatian prints
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge officially bowed out of the public eye last week, and showed her own inimitable style right up to the end. Looking absolutely beautiful and, yes it is a cliché, but totally glowing, the Duchess again returned to her beloved High Street in a fabulous Dalmatian printed coat from Hobbs, causing the inevitable sell out. The Dalmatian Mac from Hobbs was another smart choice for the Duchess. The shape was again reminiscent of the early 1960s boxy styles favoured by Jackie Kennedy, something that Kate has worn a lot during her third trimester, and again was a simple, but totally elegant look lifted by the…

Friday Focus – Alice Temperley
If I could choose one designer to create my wardrobe for the rest of my life, it would be the wonderful Alice Temperley. Her designs are just so typically English, ethereal, mystical and totally feminine, and have attracted celebrity fans in their droves. Katy Perry rocked her Floria dress as the perfect choice for a Valentine’s evening, those splashes of red being totally appropriate to celebrate the day of love. Both Kate and Pippa Middleton are fans of the brand, Kate famously wore a beautiful white dress with black accents for one of her first official engagements. And, of course, a great many society ladies and models have opted for…

Kate Middleton tackles Maternity Dressing with Summer Coats
It might just be me, but I think that Kate Middleton has been looking to fashion icons of the past as she moves further into her pregnancy. Her recent passion for shorter length, pastel coloured coats have me thinking back to the early days of Camelot and Jackie Kennedy, a lady who also favoured pastel shades and collarless boxy coats and jackets. Kate couldn’t have chosen a better icon to channel. I think her recent looks, the Tara Jarmon peach coat and dress, and the Emilia Wickstead primrose yellow coat worn the the Buckingham Palace garden party just this week, have been fresh, young and pretty, following on from the…
