Trilogy at John Lewis Birmingham
Last month I wrote about my evening spent with John Lewis Birmingham, finding out about the Loved and Found department that is such an amazing addition to the John Lewis brand. This post is almost a second part to Loved and Found, with the focus being on the Trilogy department that is concerned with denim, and the perfect companion pieces to wear with jeans. Trilogy promises to find you the perfect pair of jeans within three tries, hence the name, and I can honestly say they found mine on the first attempt, along with some great pieces to ensure that opting for denim is no longer just a casual, dressed…

Reviewed – Handmade Burger Co. at Grand Central Birmingham
The arrival of Grand Central Birmingham has meant the opening of lots of new eateries, selling a wide variety of different cuisines. On Sunday I was invited to check out on of those restaurants, the Handmade Burger Co, which offers one of the biggest selections of burgers I have ever seen. So, after Joe had made his football debut for Wyrley Rangers, and we were all suitably starving after a morning on the footie touchline, we made our way to my new favourite shopping centre to try out the handmade Burgers of the Handmade Burger Co. The restaurant is another that has that slightly industrial feel to it, with a…

T H Baker Launch Party at Grand Central Birmingham
T H Baker celebrated the launch of Grand Central Birmingham in super style, by opening a new flagship store for the city, complete with a stand-alone Pandora store next door. A great crowd turned out for the opening, enjoying a first glimpse of the store, which has an in-store jewellery technition and also stocks a pre-loved collection of Rolex watches. The store is sure to be a real destination for Birmingham’s jewellery lovers, with lots of space for looking and admiring the beautiful collections the store stocks. Thomas Sabo, Pandora, Links, Breitling, Fiorelli and Hot Diamonds are all stocked by the store, making it a paradise for jewellery magpies, and…

Visiting Jacques Vert in Grand Central Birmingham
On Wedensday I was invited by Publicasity to visit the brand new Jacques Vert store in Birmingham’s Grand Central. This was a chat to have a look around the shining new store and to talk about all the new ranges, including a very exciting coat collaboration with Paul Costelloe. I spent a lovely hour talking all things fashion and admiring some really lovely pieces. The new store is also a new concept for Jacques Vert, being a flagship for the re-invigorated brand. In the past, Jacques Vert has been a concession in some of the cities larger department stores, and has had a reputation as being a destination for mother…

A Grand Central John Lewis Focus
You would probably need to have been living on the moon or planet Mars not to know that last week was a very special one for Birmingham. Grand Central Birmingham had its official opening and is already proving to be a huge success, not least because of its amazing flaghip John Lewis store. I went along on Thursday to the opening and was just so impressed with how lovely it really is, and from the thousands of people who descended on the city last weekend, and the huge buzz you could feel everywhere, I guess I am not the only one. The John Lewis store is bright and vibrant, with…
