Christmas Jumpers from BHS
Aah Christmas jumpers. Once something only worn by embaressing uncles, or children who had been forced to wear one of nan’s awful knitting creations, the Christmas jumper has now passed into that so bad it is brilliant catagory, and they even have their own day dedicated to them. (I believe it is December 18th this year, but don’t quote me.) It seems that if you are getting into the Christmas spirit, you need to get yourself a Christmas jumper. Luckily, not all designs are garish and unwearable. Every year BHS seems to come up trumps with designs that are both cute and cuddly. Robins, penguins, polar bears and pretty Christmas…

F&F Clothing have sorted your Winter Coat Dilemma
It is getting colder. That is official. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours on the touchline watching my son play football, and I don’t mind admitting I was cold. Really cold. The wind was blowing a gale, the sky was dark and murky and the sun never even made one fleeting appearance. It was a day when a jacket just would not do. It was a day for a proper Winter coat. F&F Clothing have totally got Winter coats sorted. Ultimately we want something that will look great, keep us warm, and be hardwearing enough to last us until Spring. But we don’t want to spend a fortune because…

Dorothy Perkins Winter Warmers
1st November. And although the sun is now shining high in the sky, this morning there was a definite cold chill in the air, along with mist and fog that said just one thing – Winter is coming. As a person who hates all things cold, and longs for sunshine and heat, the only things that make me even slightly smile at the coming of Winter is Christmas, and the chance to add some sparkle and winter woollies to the wardrobe. Frankly everything else, the cold, snow, sleet, dark nights, dark mornings, sludge etc, etc, can just do one! (Anything mulled can stay though…) This month the fashion focus is…

Visiting Jacques Vert in Grand Central Birmingham
On Wedensday I was invited by Publicasity to visit the brand new Jacques Vert store in Birmingham’s Grand Central. This was a chat to have a look around the shining new store and to talk about all the new ranges, including a very exciting coat collaboration with Paul Costelloe. I spent a lovely hour talking all things fashion and admiring some really lovely pieces. The new store is also a new concept for Jacques Vert, being a flagship for the re-invigorated brand. In the past, Jacques Vert has been a concession in some of the cities larger department stores, and has had a reputation as being a destination for mother…

Friday Fashion – Wallis new ‘W’ collection
The latest drop from the W Collection from Wallis is here, and it is as glamorous and eclectic as ever. Full of eminently wearable pieces that incorparate daytime classics with full on evening glamour, the new collection is stylish, timeless and yet still feels absolutely bang up to date. This season has chosen a stark colour palette of black, white, camel and red. There are flashes of metallics in the form of a silver soaked beaded jacket, a bronze brocade trouser suit that echoes the 1970s ethos of Biba, and a beautiful, boho influenced dress/tunic emblazoned in stars and beading. The Judo coats are just stunning. I love the bright,…
