When I was asked if I would like to take part in the Boohoo.com ‘My Style Icon’ challenge, I was instantly intrigued and interested. Regular readers of this blog know that celebrity style, and getting the celebrity look are areas that I am really interested in. While Kate Middleton tackled Maternity style with chic this year, I don’t think I have ever seen a more glamorous mom-to-be than the utterly gorgeous Gwen Stefani. She had me in awe with her always red lips, glamorous heels and general glow that made her look like a total goddess. Quite simply, Gwen was a picture of perfection. On Mothering Sunday I thought I’d do a little style salute to some very stylish mothers. These are ladies who haven’t abandoned their signature style just because they have little ones. Ladies who still rock those heels and little black dresses, and always appear without a hair out-of-place and a perfectly made up face. I have always admired Lady Gaga has an icon of style. But rather like the way you admire Erno Goldfinger‘s tower blocks, but wouldn’t want to live in them, I admired Gaga’s crazy meat dresses, sequined lobster hats and crazy shoes, but could never see anyone else wearing them.
