This week has been a bumper one for Pippa Middleton watchers. She has been spotted out and about not once, but three times this week, and each time she has been wearing a great dress. Here is the lowdown on the outfits this week in Pippa-land.
Look 1 – The red cricket dress
I speculated that this dress was possibly an high street design as Pippa is often spotted wearing dresses from the Higher end of the High street, like Whistles and Hobbs. But this pretty red dot design dress turned out to be from Issa! It seems that Daniella Hayalel never need to take out advertising again, because two of the countries current style icons are constantly wearing her designs. Pippa always looks great in red, and this was no exception.
Look 2 The safety-pin dress
Back to work and Pippa wore a gorgeous safety-pin print dress that was from the High Street. The pretty black dress was from the High Street brand Whistles, although I believe it is now out-of-stock. This is a great dress for drizzly summer days, because it has an elegant, chiffonesque feel, but long sleeves for chillier days. This would look great with opaques when the weather turns cooler. Pippa paired it with her favourite padded leather jacket, also from Whistles.`
Look 3 – Is it a skirt…or a dress?
Pippa was pictured with her glamorous mother Carole shopping on Chelsea’s Kings Road this week. I thought Carole looked amazing in a very pretty floral summer dress. Pippa was more business like, in an outfit that could be a skirt and top, or a dress. I’m frankly not sure. What I am sure of is the fantastic colour co-ordination of the navy and grey that looks just fantastic. Pippa is of course carrying the Modalu Pippa bag, that is now back in stock.
As Jane Birkin, Grace Kelly, Jessica Stam and Alexa Chung could all testify, having a bag named after you is the clear sign of fashion arrival. Pippa is definitely a new British Style icon. Next stop – the world…if Simon Cowell has any say in the matter.
