The most glittering night on the Awards calendar came and went with a whimper last night. The Oscars used to always be the ceremony where you were promised something wonderful and something wacky, and interesting night of true fashion and memorable looks that would stay in the fashion memory long after who had actually won had faded. But that was then. The best way to sum up this year’s ceremony choices would be ‘safe’.
