Smiggle has a new website – Check out the goodies!

Late last year I attended the opening of a new stationary store in Birmingham’s Bullring. Smiggle is an Australian phenomenon that has now hit the UK and is developing a cult status amongst children, teenagers and stationary lovers everywhere due to it’s fun products which are updated regularly. Now Smiggle has a new website with a huge range of products which means you can enjoy Smiggle products even if you don’t leave near a Smiggle store.

The Smiggle range has everything a young person needs for school and college, from rucksacks and water bottles, to wallets and every kind of stationary you can imagine. The range changes regularly, every six weeks in fact, and has something to suit all tastes, from bright red Ninja designs, green footballs  and the new Woodland collection that is perfect for animal lovers.

Smiggle very kindly sent me a selection of their products for Joe to test drive. He is totally football mad at the moment, living, eating, drinking and sleeping football, so we were very excited to see a football backpack, cute soccer erasers and football hologram stickers amongst the goodies. The backpack is wonderful, large enough to carry a 15inch laptop and with separate pockets for keeping wallets, dinner money etc. There are side pockets that can accommodate a water bottle safely, keeping it away from the other contents of the bag in case of spillages, and the back straps are both adjustable, and padded for extra comfort, these will not be cutting into shoulders or back of your child. This is one of the best quality children’s bags that I have seen, and the vibrant colour and Smiggle tags on the zips just add to the quality feel.

Smiggle opens in the Bullring

Last week I was invited to the opening of a fabulous new store in Birmingham’s Bullring. Smiggle is a stationery store that promises to bring fun, choice and must have pieces to any school bag. (think Paperchase with a younger target audience). The store is sure to be a haven for youngsters and teens, as well as a nostalgia trip for any adults who used to collect rubbers and key rings when they were younger.

DSCN0227[1]Smiggle is an Australian company that has now opened 16 stores across the UK in 2014. The stores change the stock every six weeks, so there is always something new to see, making it a destination that will be on the must visit list for many in 2015. The shelves are colour coordinated, keeping all items of the same colour together. This makes the shopping experience much simpler – if you are purple mad – just head to the purple section. Larger Smiggle stores have an area for doodling and scribbling that will help keep your youngsters occupied while you shop.

A red carpet was laid out on Thursday, and visitors were given a tour of the shop. We were all presented with Smiggle’s current best seller, the amazing advent calendar that is stuffed full with stationery treats. This made Joe a very happy little boy when I got home. (Find out how to get yours here.)

Smiggle advent Calendar

I think Smiggle is a fabulous addition to the Bullring because there is no where quite like it in Birmingham at the current time. I think it will be very popular for stocking fillers and presents as we move towards Christmas – there are just so many lovely things that would make someone very happy on Christmas Day. I have my eye on some football related products for Joe and am looking forward to paying another visit very soon.

*With thanks to Smiggle and Georgina Maley from Small Man Media for the invitation.
