John Lewis Secret Santa…and a touch of Temperley
You may remember a few weeks ago I told you all about the Bloggers Secret Santa that I was taking part in, courtesy of John Lewis. Well, last Friday I received my present through the post, chosen by the lovely Sioned of Tea and Fairylights, I don’t mind admitting that I was super excited to open the present- I am a fan of all things Christmas, and I possibly get even more excited than my four-year-old, which is definitely saying something. Kate wears Temperley to greet the athletes
At a reception at Buckingham Palace to salute Britain’s golden summer and the wonderful athletes created it, Duchess Kate showed off a new dress that has so far received decidedly mixed reviews. The black and gold dress from Alice Temperley has been described as being too ‘busy’ with floral applique panels, a frilled skirt which also had a pleated panel, and a silk sash belt at the waist, there was certainly a lot going on. But, in my opinion, this does not distract from the beauty of the gown, which I think was perfect in it’s cocktail length, beautiful embellishment, and also in the use of gold as a motif.…

Somerset by Alice Temperley is now available at John Lewis
This is one Autumn/Winter launch that has got me truly excited. Somerset by one of the UK’S top designers, Alice Temperley, is finally available at John Lewis. This collection has been designed exclusively for John Lewis by the designer, a favourite of Kate and Pippa Middleton no less, and is Temperley’s first collaboration for the UK high street. This is a truly beautiful collection that has all the hallmarks of the established Temperley design. The wonderful ad campaign features English Rose model Lily Donaldson, who looks wonderful in the lines – the perfect face for this collection.
