Check out these amazing Hush Puppies from Schuh

Hands up if you’ve heard of Hush Puppies? I can bet that almost all of you reading this are holding your arm aloft in the air as we speak. Hush Puppies are a British institution, having been established in 1958, and still going strong almost 55 years later. But for all of you imagining some geeky science teacher in her lace ups, or, perish the thought, Barbara Woodhouse shouting sit in her sensible skirt and Hush Puppies (shudders!), you may be in for the most pleasant of suprises.

Because Hush Puppies have seen a style revolution in recent years, and have emerged with some seriously stylish contemporary looks. Funky sandals, gorgeously floral wedges, and Mary Janes that would have Alexa Chung salivating all make up part of the latest collection. These shoes are pretty, practical and highly covetable. In short, your wardrobe needs them badly, and because they retain that same level of quality and comfort that has been a trademark of Hush Puppies for a number of years, your feet will thank you too.

The best place to look for your Hush Puppies is High Street giant Schuh. The reason? They have a great deal of Hush Puppies designs that are exclusive to Schuh, and offer free delivery options too. They also have some amazing sale bargains at the moment that are just too good to miss.

Adding leopard print to your wardrobe with Wynsors shoes

I adore animal print. It is a celebrity style worn by everyone from Kate Moss to Paris Hilton, along with such fashionistas as Rachel Bilson, Ginnifer Goodwin and Chloe Sevigny. Leopard print is a style classic that emerges every season, whether in the form of form-fitting dresses made for the red carpet, or scarves and pashminas worn as part of off-duty celebrity looks.

One of the most effective ways of adding animal print to your wardrobe is in the form of shoes. Leopard print heels and platforms can add interest to a little black dress, whilst cute wedges are a great summer staple.

I was  recently introduced to  Wynsors world of shoes. This is a longstanding shoe company that specialises in great, stylish shoes at ultra affordable prices.  Wynsors shoes currently has some really fabulous leopard print heels in a range of different styles. The amazing thing is that the shoes, which include both platform and stiletto heels, as well as wedges, cost less than £15 per pair, making the cost per wear minimal.

I decided to test drive the Platino Kai. This is a gorgeous stiletto heel in suedette. It has a pointed toe and a seriously sexy style. I wore these shoes with a black shift dress for a (rare) night out. This gave the look an Audrey Hepburn feel, but I think these shoes would be equally as good if they were teamed with skinny jeans, or cigarette pants. The shoes feel luxurious due to the suedette which is really soft, but they are not as heavy on your feet as some platforms can be, and they also make a nice change, as I always plump for platforms.

The heel is just high enough for me  (10cms) and the shoe proved to be fairly comfortable. I would suggest you go for a size up if you usually wear wide fitting shoes as they are rather narrow. But the price and value are really unmissable at £12. I spend more than that on a Chinese takeaway, and these will last far longer than my chow mein!

If a stiletto heel is not your thing, I would suggest trying the platform Platino Nadia, which is similar to the Kai, but with a platform heel.  I also loved the Ann Harvey Ah Sanchia, a low slingback wedge that would look fantastic with a white summer dress.

For sheer value for money, I would advise you to take a look at Wynsors shoes. I was seriously impressed by the collection…and the price!

Terry De Havilland shines at Sarenza

Hi shoes have been beloved by the coolest of celebrities for more than 40 years. He’s known as the Rock and Roll Cobbler, and, in 1972, he created the now iconic Margaux wedge, a shoe so beautiful that Kate Moss is still wearing it 40 years later. He is Terry De Haviland, and his new shoe collection is now available at Sarenza.

TERRY DE HAVILLAND Margaux £463.50

This is an amazing  collection of must-have shoes that stay close to Terry’s rock and roll roots. The Margaux is still there, of course, but we are also introduced to some brand new designs, which give more than a passing glance to the 1970s heyday of glam rock.

There’s the Zia, which is a stack heeled Ziggy Stardust of a shoe, in stunning metallic shades of blue and silver, or red and gold. Then there’s the elegant, peep toed Charlie, that could,ve belonged to Faye Dunaway in her Laura Mars glory.  The Pennie is Margaux’s more grown up big sister, in striking gold and black this is your ultimate going out shoe, with a jewelled buckle for that extra special touch.

TERRY DE HAVILLAND Zia £463.50

TERRY DE HAVILLAND Charlie £369.90

TERRY DE HAVILLAND Pennie £463.50

And then there’s the Lisette, a show designed to get you in mind for Summer, with rope style ribbons to lace around your leg, perfect with a cheesecloth sundress or a pair of capri pants.

TERRY DE HAVILLAND Lisette £350

The whole collection is a glorious hurrah to the supreme talent of Terry De Havilland, featuring shoes that are iconic items of lust.
