The Duchess of Cambridge wows in Amanda Wakeley.
One word – WOW!
The Duchess of Cambridge looked absolutely exquisite last night when she carried out her first solo official engagement, standing in for Prince Charles at a charity event.
Wearing a 1930s style bias cut white/silver evening gown by Amanda Wakeley, Kate had movie star glamour and elegance. The dress was more revealing than Kate has worn for evening engagements since the Royal Wedding, showing off slim toned arms and shoulders.
This is not the first time Kate has turned to Amanda Wakeley for an evening event, wearing the salmon pink and silver gown for the Ark event in June, and it seems that the designer and Kate are a match made in evening wear heaven.
I have searched Amanda Wakeley online and can’t find this dress, which may have been custom-made for the Duchess. But it does have some resemblance to this Amanda Wakeley wedding dress, which could have been redesigned for the Duchess.

If you want to get the Amanda Wakeley look without the price tag, Very stocks dresses by Amanda Wakeley elements collection. I love this blue dress with embellished straps for £99. In the Kate style, if not the colour, is this amazing dress I found on the Kaleidoscope site.
