The wonderful Liberty London documentary is back, and once again it is a total treat for anyone with even a passing interest in department stores, shopping and the history of retail. That iconic, mock Tudor style building is always a place I love to visit when I’m in London, it always has amazing window displays and sells items that range from the iconic Liberty print scarves, to the weird and wonderful.
My favourite star of the show (so far) has to be the truly lovely Judy Rose, the warm and funny front of house lady who gives the Liberty reception such a welcoming feel. Judy has put together her festive edit for Liberty, and, as you might expect, it is full of red, items relating to cakes (Judy loves a bake sale), and, of course, a telephone!
And then we have the fashion-mommy edit. Here’s what I’m loving from Liberty London this Christmas.
This season, for the first time, Liberty has launched a very special advent calendar. Containing a range of luxury products totaling £420, this is selling at the amazing price of £149, and is literally flying off the shelves. The perfect gift for beauty lovers.
So many gorgeous picks, Liberty is certainly a place to visit if you are looking for unusual gifts.
The price of that advent calendar is exorbitant. Who could afford even the reduced price, let alone the original? I don’t think I’ll be buying into what’s on offer. But then, people over 70 rarely do. Now if I was younger …
Arggghhhh STOPPPP I want it ALL. The bags are just to die for. I absolutely love the programme as well. Weren’t the dog coats cute and I loved the smelly nail polishes!
Ooh I love that red telephone! We used to have a wall mounted one, similar (in black) on a party line (one phone number for two houses). Made for interesting eavesdropping from our elderly neighbour! 😀
