The wonderful Liberty London documentary is back, and once again it is a total treat for anyone with even a passing interest in department stores, shopping and the history of retail. That iconic, mock Tudor style building is always a place I love to visit when I’m in London, it always has amazing window displays and sells items that range from the iconic Liberty print scarves, to the weird and wonderful. If you want to choose a last minute Christmas gift that has history and heritage behind it, then you need to pay a visit to Liberty, or at least to the Liberty London website if you can’t make it to the stunning, Tudor facade, store that dominates Great Malborough Street in London. There is something oh so stylish about the ability to carry off wearing a headscarf. All those retro icons could do it with ease – Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn all wore their scarves with finesse. And it looks like they may be about to make a comeback for spring, with Karen Gillan and Michelle Williams showing that they can look just amazing for those attempting retro elegance.
