The Maxi dress – showing no signs of disappearing
The maxi dress was a fashion relic from the early hippy-dippy 70s that made a surprising re-appearance a few years ago, mainly off the coat-tails of the Boho revival. No-one really expected it to stick around, it was another Summer trend, a flash in the pan. Here today, gone tomorrow.
But we were all proved very wrong. The Maxi dress proved to have a staying power that has made it a style classic. It is now a total staple of your summer wardrobe, perfect for packing in your holiday suitcase, providing you with an item that can switch between covering up your swimming costume apres swim, to providing evening glamour at the bar and restaurant. It is also a permanent fixture at summer weddings, a great option for picnics in the park, and even proving to be cool and elegant with pretty sandals for hot days in the city. Clearly the Maxi dress had been underestimated.
M&Co have some of the nicest maxi dresses on the High Street this Spring. These range from options that could be described as ‘dressy’ to those that are perfect beach cover ups. They also have options that are perfect for those with plus size and petite figures, again showing the versatility of the maxi dress, and proving there is a style to suit everyone.

I love maxi dresses. Wear them all year round to be honest. My fave is that black one, it is just perfect with a tan.

Like all of these, but the blue is my absolute favourite. M&Co is just such a great shop with a good range of dresses.
