The Top Baby Clothing Designers
Most parents would do anything for their babies. That often includes dressing them in the nicest, fanciest clothes they can afford. However, there’s not that many good lists dedicated to these things, so we’ve sought out the top designers of baby clothing from around the world, including budget-friendly options and extravagant picks for the big spenders. Be warned, lots of small clothing coming up…
Bam Bam
Dutch brand Bam Bam aren’t easy to find in the UK (you can find them in the House of Rokoko baby gifts range or at Alexa & Alexa) but theirs is one of the cutest collections around, thanks to their obsession with ducks and crowns. The rubber duck bath toy in pink for girls is a great keepsake. But, where were we, this about the clothes. Most of them are simply and classically designed, with the supersoft cotton hooded bathrobes, tiny bonnets, and comfy slippers being something of their signature items.
Maria Bianca
Maria Bianca’s baby clothes are gorgeous enough that they might inspire you to start a family if you haven’t already. Just so you can dress your newborn in these classic and timeless pieces. The Portuguese designer Maria Bianca aims to create baby clothing that gives equal weight to comfort and elegance, resulting in a preppy look that includes the babygrows with white collars and the rompers in check with mother of pearl buttons.
Bluebird Creations
Based in Tring, Hertfordshire, Bluebird Creations have carved themselves a bit of a niche in the baby clothes market by styling their items to look like cupcakes, celebration cakes, and even bon bons. Since 2009 they’ve been injected a bit of fun into things with cheekily named products like “Ready to Pop”, a set of starred pyjamas in a replica popcorn box, and the sock lollipops, 100% organic cotton socks rolled into balls and placed on sticks.
Kissy Kissy
Founded by Tatiana & Company, the American brand Kissy Kissy is all about showcasing baby sets made from the finest Peruvian Pima cotton. Luxuriously soft and one of the softest fabrics for babies’ skin, this cotton is the bedrock of their offerings along with fabulous attention to detail, from the adorable sailor collar dress to the polka dot sun hats. They’re so good they’ve been sporting by the kids of Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, and Salma Hayek.
Burberry
Last but definitely not least, is Burberry’s baby range. The British brand has an enviable history: founded by Thomas Burberry in 1856, it has been favoured by explorers and aviators over the years as well as the upper classes and fashionistas. Their dresses, tops and down-filled snowsuits all feature the iconic pattern and are made from the finest materials. The bodysuits with check collar and the beautifully-crafted cardigans are some of the best looking products; the double-knit cashmere/silk blend jacket is a truly extravagant purchase.
