VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul -The Best Dressed.

The VH1 Divas event always promises some interesting looks as the best and brightest ladies in music come together for one very special evening. Jesse J, Jennifer Hudson and Dolly Parton were at the event, but non of these lovely ladies made Fashion-Mommy’s best dressed list. Here are the ladies who caught my eye on the night.

Florence Welch

Choosing a fabulous vintage style dress from Antonio Berardi, Florence again played up that alabaster colouring and Titian locks by opting for a nude shade. Florence continues to impress me with her style which avoids conventions of sexiness, instead creating an ethereal Titania like goddess.

Another lady who opted for nude shades was Mary J Blige. I loved the rhinestones and draping on this dress, and also the fun touch of the pink fur.

Many people have chosen Estelle as the night’s best dressed in a very glamorous golden gown. This Grecian style dress fits the singer like a dream, and she avoided flashy accessories, allowing the dress to do all the talking. Perfect.
