As regular readers to Fashion-Mommy know, I am a huge fan of Bodhi toiletries. I first became aware of this brand when I received some travel bottles in a Harvey Nichols goodie bag, and I became addicted to the fabulous scents that left your skin feeling silky smooth and pampered.

My favourite product has to be the Ylang Ylang Incensa bath therapy. I said that this reminded me of my trips to Thailand, with all its exotic scents of flowers and blooms, so it did not come as a surprise to find out that Elijah Choo, the founder of Bodhi, had been inspired by his travels to exotic far-flung places. Using a higher-than-average percentage of essential oils, Elijah created the fragrance using  Kukui Nut Oil, Ylang-Ylang and Patchouli as the three main active botanicals within the blend.

There are some amazing facts about Ylang Ylang Incensa. Firstly, it is one of the few luxury bath products that can also be used to wash your hair as well as your body. This is because it is a fantastic Sebum Regulator.  It is also great if you’ve suffered from sunburn, because it contains kukui Nut oil, which helps your skin to regenerate itself. The heady smell will help you be transported to somewhere tropical and hot, even as we move into those cold winter months.

With all this in mind it is no surprise that Bodhi Ylang-Ylang Incensa Bath & Shower Therapy has been shortlisted for “Best New Bodycare Product at the UK Beauty Awards 2011. This is a superb product that I really hope will win. Fingers crossed for Bodhi!
