It is not really any sort of secret that I am a little bit obsessed with interior design. I love the idea of taking a room from scratch, and turning it into something beautiful, something that reflects your style and personality. We have recently been working on a revamp of our living room and have just put the final touch to it in the form of a large Art Deco art print, which, admittedly, was a little larger than I thought it would be, but actually looks rather stunning on my wall (see the image below).
Homes renovations, particularly if you are currently moving into a new home, interior design, garden makeovers, they all have a couple of things in common. The first is the need for a flash of inspiration – an idea of how something could look, even if it is currently a long way from looking like it. The second is the need to source your items for a makeover – the furniture, paints, floor coverings, plants etc, so that you can make your space look exactly how you envisage it. The internet is obviously a great starting point – Pinterest is a brilliant source of inspiration, but sometimes you actually want to look at items and ideas in the flesh, to see how they really look and feel, to check out the quality.
