Archie’s Girls by MAC – retro and fabulous.
Make up legends MAC’s latest limited edition range is totally retro fabulous. ‘Archie’s Girls’ is inspired by the comic series ‘Archie’s Girls Betty and Veronica‘ which tells the tale of the classic love triangle that consists of Archie Andrews, the gorgeous blonde girl next door Betty and the sultry rich girl Veronica. The series has been running since the 1940s, and now the iconic characters have been immortalised in a vintage style range from M.A.C that you can find in Selfridges from today. The Archie’s Girls collection is very much a contrast between the two girls. Blonde Betty is very much the cutesy, Doris Day, Sandra Dee type girl next…

Valentine’s Day ideas from Pavilions and The Fort
Next week will see the most romantic day of the year arrive. Valentine’s Day is all about hearts and flowers, and showing someone how much you love them. But, if we’re honest, men don’t always get it right. My mom once received a rather ugly fleecy dressing gown, a good friend once got a bottle of Oil of Ulay and a foot scrubber. Fashion-Mommy has got a fab selection of ideas that are available from two of…

Gok Wan for Sainsburys – Latest Collection
The latest collection from Gok Wan is set to launch in Sainsburys stores on Thursday, and it is quite a departure from previous ranges. Where past Gok Tu collections have been very body conscious, with curve hugging dresses, pencil skirts, and flattering wide leg trousers, the new range seems to have taken influence from the high-fashion, sports luxe designs of Alexander Wang, with a bit of scuba dress design a la Philip Armstrong thrown in for good measure. This collection is chic, but has a decidedly casual slant, with boucle bomber jackets, acres of khaki and soft grey and retro sports inspired styles all included. I think Gok has been…

Gorgeous Looks from the Evening Standard Awards
The Evening Standard awards are, in general, a far more low-key affair in British film than the Baftas, which are due to take place this sunday, but they still throw up some good looks, and, in Andrea Riseborough’s Jenny Packham, a dress that could rival anything that Hollywood has to offer. Also attending the ceremony was Helen McCrory, that wonderful actress so often in the shade of hubby Damian Lewis. I loved her maxi skirt and black silk blouse. This was just such a grown up look, a touch 1930s, and so striking, teamed with a very glam Kate Spade clutch bag. Hayley Atwell went for a brightly printed burnt…
