Afternoon Tea at Essington’s Old School Tea Rooms
Traditional afternoon teas have made a huge comeback in recent years and you can now sample them in a host of settings, from hotels to restaurants and in the most modern of settings. But it is always wonderful to find a place which takes you back to a time when tea was served in a parlour, in a real china cup, and cakes came stacked up on beautiful stands. Fashion for all the family at Tu Clothing
One of the greatest things about the clothing sections that now appear in most supermarkets is the sheer convenience of being able to pick up an outfit as you do the weekly shop. If you need something quickly, or suddenly discover you need a certain colour t-shirt or cardigan, there is no longer a need to pay a visit to the High Street, you can simply throw whatever you need in the trolley with your bread, milk and pasta. Tu clothing, the range available in Sainsbury’s supermarkets, is a brand that always impresses, both with the variety of styles on offer, and the quality of the pieces. The season’s collection…

The influences are a really mixed bag from the Designers at Debenhams. There are 1950s full midi length skirts and dresses with beautiful brocade…

Getting ready for the World Cup Final with Moonpig
If we remove England’s poor performance from the Equation, it has to be said that the 2014 World Cup has been superb. There was the shocking early exits for the holders Spain, Portugal and Italy. The amazing goal keeping display from Tim Howard, the star making performances for Columbia’s Rodriguez, and then, last night, the gobsmacking display as the Germans annihilated and humilated the hosts Brazil in a 7-1 drubbing. It all makes the final a mouthwatering prospect. Just in time for Sunday’s final, Moonpig have a great range of football inspired t-shirts that you can keep as a fabulous memento of a truly memorable World Cup. There are designs…

Reviewed – The Salamander Eco Cotton dress from Gudrun Sjoden
When we look at fabrics that are suitable for summer dresses, we seem to be naturally drawn to cool linens and cotton. I’m not a real fan of linen – I love the look on everyone else, but on myself I always look and feel like I’ve slept in my clothes. But cotton is another story, the practical thin layer that keeps us cool and avoids those lived in creases. The Salamander Eco Cotton dress from Gudrun Sjoden is one of those perfect summer pieces in eco cotton. It is no secret to readers of Fashion-Mommy that I am a huge fan of Gudrun Sjoden, the vibrant prints, unique designs…
