    Stylish Workwear from Daxon

When it comes to finding work wear that is practical and stylish, that can take you from a meeting to drinks in the bar, where is the first place you look? I’m guessing that not many of you would be saying Daxon right now, but in actual fact Daxon is a really great choice for affordable work pieces that can offer practical design with a stylish edge. I was asked to put together a work wear outfit using pieces from Daxon. This was an outfit that would be suitable for an important meeting so needed to look smart, but also needed to be something that could be dressed up for…

It is no secret that I’m a real fan of the plus size range that Boohoo introduced late last year. I have quite a few pieces in my wardrobe and they tick a whole lot of boxes. They are well sized – if anything they can be quite generous, they are superbly priced, and the style and quality have both proven to be pretty good. Now Boohoo are further extending the collection, with pretty much anything you need for Autumn/Winter included in the latest collection. The dress I am reviewing on the blog today is now in the sale, and I would say it is an absolute bargain if you…

    New season focus – BHS

In recent seasons BHS has seen a style revival that puts it right at the top of the list for stylish, yet affordable clothing. In addition to housing Wallis and Dorothy Perkins concessions, their own branded clothing has become something that is definitely worth looking at. Last year I wore BHS dresses to two major Midland fashion events, the Harvey Nichols fashion show, and Style Birmingham Live after party, and both dresses got lots of compliments, and a few shocked looks when I said ‘It’s from BHS.’ This season, a few pieces have already been appearing in the press and eliciting really positive comments for the style, cut and colours…

Reviewed – Graphic Print Dress from Planet

I’m a huge fan of Planet and their range of dresses. I always feel sophisticated and grown up when I wear one, the classic, elegant designs are timeless and seem totally designed for women with curves. Recently I was asked if I would like to review something from the latest collection, and, as I had a very special occasion coming up, I decided to choose a dress that I thought would be both appropriate, and eye-catching. The Graphic print dress is certainly eye-catching, in a zesty yellow and navy blue mix print. It has a thin navy belt, and a faux wrap detailing on the skirt. It is 100% polyester…
