Stylish Workwear from Daxon
When it comes to finding work wear that is practical and stylish, that can take you from a meeting to drinks in the bar, where is the first place you look? I’m guessing that not many of you would be saying Daxon right now, but in actual fact Daxon is a really great choice for affordable work pieces that can offer practical design with a stylish edge.
I was asked to put together a work wear outfit using pieces from Daxon. This was an outfit that would be suitable for an important meeting so needed to look smart, but also needed to be something that could be dressed up for networking events, or after work cocktails. Here are the pieces I chose.
The Dress
First I chose a dress. In my opinion, dresses are a great choice for everyday wear – they look smart and elegant when teamed with a blazer, but can then be transformed with a necklace or a brooch. The dress I chose was the Crealine Expert Design crossover dress. This has a flattering neckline, but is not too low or revealing. The pencil length sits just on the knee, a good length for me – it shows some leg but not too much. I loved the ruching on the side, another figure fixing detail, and the fabric, which was 100% polyester has the feel of silk which makes it a luxurious choice too.
The Coat
With Winter just around the corner, a good quality, every day coat is a must have for any work wardrobe. I opted for a grey, wool effect coat which I think would look good worn over both dresses and trousers. Grey is a good alternative to black, which is smart, but can look sombre. The coat pictured above is not the exact one that I chose, as that is now out of stock, but this is a great, classic style that would enhance any outfit.
The Bag
The bag I chose was this oversized clutch style bag from Balsamik. This is super stylish, with a chain handle, a felt style front flap and zip detailing around the edging. This bag is great, I can’t recommend it enough. It is big enough to carry an ipad, diary and any other work essentials, so despite its glamorous appeal, it has a real practical side too.
So how did the outfit look when put together? I wore it this week for some meetings, and then took my new pieces to a blogger event. The outfit was wearable and I think it was totally appropriate for both events.
