5 in 1 Hair Curler – Professional Curling Set
The Xtava satin wave 5 in 1 curler is a neat hair tool for anyone with long hair who likes to experiment. This is a hair curling set that allows you to change the size of the curl or wave through 5 interchangeable ceramic tongs, which means you can create anything from large bouncy curls, to tighter curls or just pretty waves to add body and bounce to your hair. I have very straight hair that tends to kill all curls and waves, but I found this very easy to use, and totally changed my look.
This is a wonderful gift idea with Christmas firmly in mind. It comes in a retro style box that calls to mind Cath Kidston, and is then beautifully packaged and boxed, with the curling products packed in a stylish bag. Each tong is individually wrapped, coming in a range of sizes from 0.3 inches to 1.25 inches. There are also very useful instructions in the form of a booklet which explains the best temperature for each hair type, from fine and delicate hair, to thick hair, enabling you to get the most from the tongs.
The tongs are easy to put onto the curler. I opted for the largest tong as I don’t like tight curls, but just wanted to add a wave and a bit of body to my very straight hair. Once I added the tong, I plugged in and switched on, using the control panel on the front to set the temperature to 170 degrees. The tongs warm up within a minute, making them perfect for a quick fix even when you have to hit the rush hour traffic for work.
Curling my hair was very simple, the tongs are easy to use and are not too heavy, so would work well for a younger person too. Waves were easy to create and I was happy with the style of them – I often complain that curly hair makes me look like Dolly Parton, but this was more my style.
I would recommend letting the barrels cool down completely before changing to a different tongs – the products do come with a glove for this but I feel it is safer to just wait.
All in all, a really good products, and, for £29.99 – a great Christmas gift idea.

Seems like a great price for all of those barrel options and you’ll be able to create different curls with each one. Curls only stay in my hair if I do them with straighteners oddly!!
