August Outfit Post
It has to be said that I love August. Getting to have some quality time with my little boy is always a pleasure, plus it is also the month of my wedding anniversary, and we spend at least one week in Wales enjoying Summer. So whilst, in weather terms, it was far from a scorcher, there were still lots of opportunities to have a lot of family fun, and, with a few events thrown into the mix, it is a month that I’m already missing, especially as Autumn has arrived with cold, winds and lots of rain.
In terms of fashion, there were a few new additions to my wardrobe, but generally I have been hitting the charity shops with a vengeance. I had an extensive wardrobe clear out in August and donated around eight sacks of clothing and shoes to a local charity shop, but this has only made space for some more pieces, which is always a dangerous thing to do. That said, a positive of my cull was that I found lots of things that I’d completely forgotten about, which is a little like buying something new.
Two charity shop bargains were the black vintage M&S dress and the dotted dress. The black dress was a vintage St Michael label and still has the original tags on. I wore it twice last month, so for £4.99, it has already paid for itself. The dotted dress was a catalogue label, also still with tags, probably from the 1980s, but with a real fresh modern feel.
What sort of style did you opt for in August?

August was the NO PANTS look for me because it was 80 billion degrees in LA and sticky. I just couldn’t be bothered with pants at all. HAHAHAHAHA! My husband asked me a few times if I were just wearing underwear! LOL!
