Awards, Dresses and Celebrities, including Thandie Newton, Nicole Kidman and Sienna Miller
There are just so many fabulous looks around at the moment, most of them being sported by the cream of Hollywood during the numerous awards ceremonies, pre-award ceremony dinners, and nomination announcements that seem to be taking place every other day. And boy, when award season starts, the celebs sure know how to milk it for all its worth. Another day truly means another dress.
Which is great news if you are as dress obsessed as I am. I am literally living and breathing frocks at the moment, loving the variety of styles, colours and trends on show.
Here are some of the looks from last week that I have truly fallen in love with. From Sienna Miller to Nicole Kidman, these are exquisite and memorable styles that will linger in the memory for a long time.
Nicole Kidman in Elie Saab.
This dress is a dream. Nicole is currently playing Princess Grace of Monaco, and channeling her 1950s Hitchcock Princess style in this exquisite peach dress. I cannot fault this look, but do wish Nicole would lay off the botox a little. Her naturally beautiful features are beginning to look a little bit stretched. A few wrinkle are a good thing Nicole.
Ali Larter
Ali Larter also has a vintage look in this lovely Carolina Herrera dress. The soft lemon shade and floral applique detail have a real 1950s feel. In fact, this is another dress I can imagine Grace Kelly wearing in those Halcyon days of 1955.

Jaime King
If Nicole and Ali have been channeling the ghost of Grace, the same cannot be said for Jaime King. Her red dress is smoking hot, simple, classic, but vampish all the same. I also love the Twiggy style hair and statement earrings with this. This is the sort of look that never goes out of fashion.

Thandie Newton
And then there’s Thandie. The eminently stylish actress has been off the radar of late, but I think she looked just beautiful at the LA pre Bafta tea party. I’m unsure if this dress is the softest powder blue or palest of grey, but the shape and the delicate fabric make this just so pretty. A great daytime look for the tea party.

Sienna Miller
How wonderful is this dress on Sienna Miller? It could be a brilliant vintage find, it looks that authentic, but it is actually a Valentino gown. The shade of pink looks wonderful against Sienna’s ice cream blonde hair, and I love the understated nude heels.

Michelle Dockery
Michelle Dockery was a picture of elegance in her monochrome shift dress at the Baftas tea party. Classic black and white is hard to get wrong, and I’m loving Michelle’s chic bobbed hair and pink lips.
