Bank Christmas in July event – Simply Stunning
Another hot, indeed scorching, Summer day, and another event where we were looking towards the festive season. This time the event was in the swish surroundings of London’s Westbury hotel, and the brand in question was Bank. And if, like me, you think of Bank as a destination only catering for very young, casual and fast fashion, be prepared to have a serious rethink, because the Bank Christmas in July event was full of glitter and sparkle.
There was definitely vintage inspiration on show in the collection, with beading, embellishment and sequins all heavily in evidence. The Great Gatsby elegance shows no signs of disappearing, and 1920s style evening dresses were a major part of the overall evening look.

Another really impressive part of the new collections was the accessory range. I totally fell in love with a pair of red, jewelled heels that will retail for less than £40. These are totally gorgeous and would just transform a little black dress into a party outfit. A great range of clutch bags also caught the eye.
This being a Christmas press day, you couldn’t escape from the ubiquitous Christmas jumper, and Bank have an excellent range, not due in store until early December, but well worth the wait. My pick was the white fluffy reindeer jumper, which was just so soft, and really unusual.
There was so much to admire at this, my first Bank press event. Here are a few more pictures of what you can expect in the coming months.
I love the green bodice of this dress, can imagine Kristen Stewart wearing this.
The laser cut detail on this leatherette dress is a nod to Giles and is perfect for those girls who want to avoid being too dressy.
Just look at the beautiful neckline and swirl detail on this bodice – so beautiful.
