Friday Shopping – Dress special

Friday shopping has been absent for a few weeks, as I have been enjoying Summer holidays and weekend breaks away. But now it is back and I’ve turned once again to a subject close to my heart – pretty dresses. Whilst some people live in jeans, or are never out of trousers, I always instinctively turn to a dress when I need something failsafe.

As we start to head towards Autumn, it is nice to know that colour is still a big story. Coast have a fabulous range of £95 dresses that are destined to be wardrobe classics. I love the jewelled emerald shade, as well as the zesty colour pop of the Istria dress.

Ted Baker always offer something special in the dress department, and I think they may well have found the perfect Little Black dress this season. The Evvie is structured and glamorous, and I think it would be the perfect office to bar dress.  I love the idea of adding some real ‘bling’ to this, a sparkling vintage brooch maybe, or the perfect pair of colour pop heels for a true statement.

For a budget dress option, I don’t think you can beat the fantastic bargains that George at Asda brings each season.  The lace trim ponte dress is simply stunning, another great work to bar or restaurant dress.
