Boohoo -#Ownit – shop the Ad

By now you will probably be familiar with the latest ad campaign for Boohoo.com that is encouraging you to not just wear your clothes, but to ‘own them’. The #ownit campaign is all about encouraging people to feel good in their clothing choices, to shop for clothes that actually empower the wearer by making them look good and feel good, and to understand more about how you can shop for your shape.

I love the idea of this campaign. We should always wear our clothes – they should never be wearing us. But we often feel obliged to follow trends that don’t suit us merely because they are ‘fashionable’, or wear edgy, fashion-forward pieces that we just don’t feel comfortable in. Any campaign that encourages us to wear clothes than actually enhance our life and make us feel comfortable has to be a good thing.

Shopping the Ad – my favourite pieces

Love the mixture of fabrics in this bomber jacket.

This safari style shirt dress is my absolute fave current look from Boohoo – think Lauren Hutton in the late 1970s.

Dropped waist style relaxed dress – inspired by Victoria Beckham maybe?

This blouse is just so pretty. I love the sheer spot fabric.

Culottes could be making a comeback. This made me shudder slightly, until I saw this incredible look.

Kate Middleton has made the nautical style navy blazer an absolute wardrobe essential. This one is a brilliant buy.

To more fab pieces your wardrobe will love you for. The velvet bag is great for fans of Chanel style, whilst I love the Alessandra Rich styling of this maxi shirt dress.
