Pai skincare event at John Lewis, Birmingham
Lat week I attended a very informative and interesting beauty event at John Lewis at Grand Central Birmingham. Taking place in the &Beauty department at the store, the Pai Skincare event was a godsend to anyone who experiences less than perfect skin. Pai founder Sarah Brown, who founded the brand after suffering from adult skin problems, shared her wisdom and findings on how we can get the balance right when it comes to our skin. Understanding our skin Sarah explained that in order to get perfect skin we need to understand our skin better, and this can be achieved by looking at the food we eat, the products we use,…

Mother’s Day Ideas from this works
If you ask me, every day should be Mother’s Day, but this year the official day to treat all moms and mother figures is March 6th, which just happens to be this Sunday (and also my dad’s birthday too so there goes my bank balance.) Now, it is a well known fact that the majority of people buying Mother’s Day presents will be men, purchasing them on behalf of their little darlings, and that means that most presents will be purchased, in a rush and panic, this weekend. Flowers and chocolates will be picked up with a vengeance, but what most mother’s would really like is some ‘me-time; that comprises…

Drops of Youth 28 Day challenge with The Body Shop
“…Youth may be a mindset. but there comes a time…when unfortunately our skin doesn’t look as fresh and youthful as it used to, not quite reflecting how we feel inside…” No matter how good your skin is, there comes a time when it needs a little bit more help to retain its youthful appearance and elasticity. The Body Shop is well aware of this fact, and has been searching for the perfect products that would help to project and rejuvenate ageing skin, and have produced a superb new range of skincare products called ‘Drops of Youth‘ which promise to do just that. Launched in January, this is a range of…

Reviewed – All Boxed Up Beauty Box
I have to be honest and say that, in general, I am not a fan of beauty boxes. The main reason for this dislike being the lack of full sized products they contain – too many half sizes, or worse, too many samples and sachets. Add in the fact that there will probably be at least one product that you don’t like or doesn’t suit, and I often feel the value isn’t there. But. I will certainly eat my words and scratch that when it comes to the first beauty box of 2016 from All Boxed Up – all full sizes, all great products, and costing just £19.99 for products…

Tried and Tested – Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
Christmas is a time for over-indulging in everything except our beauty regime. We burn the candle at both ends, eat too much, drink too much and basically make merry, often falling into bed without any thought for removing all that slap we have been wearing. Is it any wonder that our skin suffers, looking drawn, tired and lacklustre, just as New Year’s Eve hits and we want to usher in 2016 looking our best? This Christmas, one of my favourite beauty products of all time has been celebrating its 20th birthday with a very special festive edition. Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish is legendary in beauty circles due to its…
