Strictly Come Dancing Live returns to wow the crowds
Strictly Come Dancing The Live Show returned to wow a capacity crowd at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena last night. With Mel Giedroyc as the new host, and judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood returning to the judging panel, it was a night of classic entertainment, the biggest and best Strictly show yet. The Strictly live shows are the glitziest and most glamorous events held at the Barclaycard Arena, with the arena transformed in a ballroom, complete with a huge glitterball, pink chandeliers and a series of props that turn a rather industrial auditorium into a vintage Hollywood setting for one group dance, and transports the audience to the…

Best looks and High Street finds from the NTA’s
The NTA’s are always a bit of a feeble hunting ground when it comes to stylish, classy looks. For some reason, put a red carpet in front of our soap stars, reality TV stars and TV presenters, and you suddenly get flesh on display, lots of it. Bare Midriffs, outrageous amounts of cleavage and sheer skirts flashing acres of leg and a whole lot more are the uniform of choice for this event, and so as someone who loves to look at beautiful dresses, this is one red carpet event that tends to leave me cold – colder than the barely dressed stars. Topshop’s New Maternity Collection – Adding star style to your bump wardrobe
We all cope with pregnancy in different ways. Some women absolutely love being pregnant and look gorgeous and glowing throughout. Others, like me, feel sick and ill, look terrible, and can’t wait for it to end. I felt awful throughout, and this made clothes very important to me – they were something I could control and a way of feeling myself. I trawled the internet for stylish items that would allow me to retain my own personal look – I just didn’t want to live in ill fitting, maternity jeans alone. Luckily, maternity fashion is one area that has shown real improvement in style and choice in the past ten…

Monochrome – the trend that never goes away
Salt and Pepper. Laurel and Hardy. Ham and Eggs. Strawberries and cream. All great partnerships, together in perfection. And when it comes to colour combinations, the classic, the epitome of the perfect combination has to be black and white. Just this week, supermodel of the moment Gigi Hadid, showed how classically elegant black and white can be, teaming a white silk blouse and cigarette pants with strappy cage heels. The look was both timeless and current and showed why this is one style combination that will never go out of fashion. As well as Gigi, many other style icons and celebrities have recently ignored the lure of a colourful wardrobe…

Golden Globes – looks and trends 2016
Last night saw the first red carpet proper of awards season, when the Golden Globes took place. This post is dedicated to the trends of the night, which saw deep, plunging cleavage being one of the key looks on the night, as Halston style necklines reigned supreme. Best dressed on the night for me was the exquisite JLo, who moved away from the nude, barely there dresses of last season, to full on, vintage style Hollywood glamour, in a dress she described as ‘mustardy’. It was a beautiful look by Giambattista Valli and made JLo stand out from the all the flesh on display. America Ferreira went for a dress…
