Awards season is now in full swing, last night saw the turn of the Screen Actors Guild, or SAG, awards. SAG Awards 2016 – Best Dresses
When I first started watching the live red carpet coverage of the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) awards last night, I have to say I was both disappointed and frustrated. I was disappointed with so many of the dresses and looks on display, from Kate Mara in a dress that was literally the colour of dishwater, to Eva Longoria who seemed to have got something on loan from Kim Kardashian’s wardrobe. The SAG awards are known for being slightly more relaxed, slightly lower key than the Oscars or the Golden Globes, but some of the dresses did make you say – ‘really, you had all that choice and you chose that?’…

Red Carpet Style at House of Fraser
Saturday will see the next big event on the awards season calendar, when the Screen Actors Guild awards take place. The SAGs are generally considered to be one of the lesser awards when it comes to the fashion, with simpler styles, casual looks and jumpsuits all making an appearance on the Red Carpet. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t some seriously gorgeous looks on display (you can check out last year’s best dressed here.) I sat up late last night, with the TV switched to the E! Channel, ready for ‘Live from the Red Carpet’ coming direct from the SAG Awards. I must admit I love the SAG Awards as the style is usually a little more laid back than other Awards season events, with celebrities more likely to take a bit of a risk. The 2014 SAG Awards – All the best looks
Last night I stayed up very late to watch the 2014 SAG Awards (actually it was early this morning, but I’m not going to confuse matters. The SAG Awards are another in the stream of pre-Oscars events that often give pointers to who will win at the big event, and as such, the Hollywood a-list turn out in force.
