Win Sponsored Child Places with KalliKids
No-one ever really tells you just how expensive it is being a parent. As well as the clothes and toys, the food, the holidays, the school expenses, you also have to think about all the extra-curricular activities that help your child to develop as a person and give them so much fun and satisfaction. My little boy Joe is 6 and currently takes part in football coaching, karate lessons and swimming lessons which cost nearly £20 per week. For some parents, in these days of budget cooks, food banks and austerity, these added expenses would be an expense too much, and so, consequently, some children miss out on these fabulous,…

As a huge fan of Disney on Ice, the arrival of a brand new show always leads to a real sense of excitement – the shows are always magical, sparkling and thoroughly good entertainment that leaves the whole family feeling happy and satisfied. Part of the charm of traditional ice cream is eating it from a van, in Summer sunshine. When I pay a visit to my…

A pamper package for me.
Are you a sport’s widow? Are you what the American’s refer to as a ‘soccer mom’? Do you find that your television is taken over by sport of any, or every description, and that weeknights are dedicated to getting a child or teenager to a range of different sporting activities. If the answer to any of these is yes, then you have my sympathies, and I’m sure you will understand why I jumped at the chance of a bit of me time, courtesy of a stunning Pamper Parcel created by Rosie Scribble and her team. For my husband, it’s all about darts and boxing. Ringside is recorded each week and…

Vehicular Style Tips for the Fashion Conscious Mom
As a modern parent, driving is almost a necessity. Although it’s possible to get by in life without having regular access to a car, it will certainly make things a lot harder if you don’t. Of course, this problem can be easily remedied with a quick brush up on your driving theory knowledge and a practical test, but once you’re legally able to sit behind a steering wheel and drive, that’s when things become tricky. Like all fashion conscious mothers, style is important. However, when it comes to transporting your children you’ll probably find that style becomes locked in a battle with another “S”: safety. Although we all want to look good…
