Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment
October sees the return of all our familiar Disney favourites to the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham. This time around Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment, a Feld Entertainment ice spectacular featuring four classic, fun-filled Disney stories. Following on from Easter’s shows which introduced ice fans to Anna and Elsa from the smash hit show Frozen, the ladies from Arendelle are returning and promise, once again, to raise the roof with a wealth of wonderful songs and the funniest snowman in showbiz. Think Money Travel Guide – Staffordshire
Baggeridge Country Park is a tranquil gem on the edge of the Black Country. It was formerly the site of Baggeridge Colliery and part of the Himley Estate that belonged to the Earls of Dudley, but it has now been transformed into a family haven, 150 beautiful acres of country park land. When I was asked by Think Money to write about a great budget day out in Staffordshire, I immediately thought of Baggeridge. Quite simply, it appeals to all ages. It has a lovely children’s adventure playground and park area, complete with a large sandpit. You can purchase a bucket and spade from the tearooms on site for just…

Earlier this year, Coca-Cola Great Britain launched its Parklives programme, in partnership with Active Parks Birmingham. This is a programme that has created hundreds of fun and free activity sessions designed with getting people out into the great outdoors in order to get fit and active, whilst enjoying a little socialising too. Over this Summer there have been lots of super fun activities taking place in over 60 parks and green spaces in Birmingham, and this is set to continue well into September. Parklives activities run throughout the week and are free of charge. Yesterday I took Joe to check out one of the activities, with a little table tennis…

Thermafreeze perfect for Bank holiday picnics
As we edge ever closer to the final bank holiday of the year, thoughts will turn of how to spend that precious day off from work and school. A day at the beach, a trip to a theme park or just an afternoon spent in playing in your local park will all be an option, and one way of saving money is by taking a picnic lunch and your own drinks. But, it has to be said that this is not always the most attractive option, especially if our day out involves a long car journey. Droopy, limp salad, hot sandwiches filled with melted cheese and butter, and warm soft…

Fun and Laughter from The Three Little pigs in Birmingham
It started with an X Factor style intro, and ended with a good old singalong between the sworn enemies the pigs and the wolf, and it was total fun and laughter in between. I’m talking about the fun new reworking of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ that has been playing at Birmingham Town Hall this week, with a star turn by Birmingham’s own Simon Webbe. We all know the story, but it is fun seeing it bought to life by the an engaging and talented cast. The piggies show their charactors early on, Daniel Buckley is clever and kind, Leanne Jones is concerned with the environment, whilst Taofique Folarin is strong…
