Altuzarra revivies the Grunge Glamour of 90s Mossy.
It seems fitting in that in the year which sees the 20th anniversary of the grunge scene that so revitalised 1990s music, Altuzarra would produce a collection for Autumn/Winter 2011 that celebrates the grungy glamour of throwing a parka over your prettiest party dress. The inspiration for this collection? Kate Moss off course! Now, think back to the early days of Grunge, which juxtaposed the start of the career of the woman destined to be the most infamous supermodel of them all. Grunge music bought grunge fashion – Courtney Love in her torn nighties and Doc Marten boots and Babes in Toyland in 1960s dresses and parkas. Then along came…

Glastonbury Fashion – Who shone in the sun?
Glastonbury may be all about the music, but that doesn’t mean that our favourite fashionista’s let standards sleep once they hit Britain’s favourite festival. On the contrary, there are always some fabulous summer looks on display, and this year was no exception. From leopard print coats to little white dresses, shimmering gold sequins and Dolce and Gabbana playsuits, and, of course the ubiquitous Hunter Wellies, Glastonbury 2011 had some serious covetable looks on display. One that didn´t involve deeley boppers, feather boas, slogan t-shirts, sashes or any other paraphernalia associated with that most girlie of celebrations. Last weekend, my ultimate style icon took a group of her female friends to the cool confines of the Isle of Wight music festival, to celebrate her upcoming nuptials. Kate Moss, the ultimate fashionista, a legendary fashion icon, friend of Alexander McQueen and the women with the most deeply coveted wardrobe in the world, celebrated with her friends a weekend of pure girlie abandon before her July 2nd wedding to Jamie…

Coachella fashion – fun without the mud!
The Coachella festival kicked off the festival season this weekend, and as usual it was a feast of fantastic rock chick style. Coachella is the festival that allows fashion to fly, taking place in the Californian desert, in glorious soaring temperatures, there is no need to dig out those wellies and pac-a-macs for this festival. Denim hotpants, cute mini dresses and toe-post Havaianis are all part of the wardrobe, as are maxi dresses = safe in the knowledge you will not be swishing these through mud soaked fields. Here are my picks of this years Coachella style. I am a huge fan of Dita’s retro styling, and think she looks…
